This movie is published on Dec 20, 2017, and win the nomination of ‘Best Short Film’ in Capilano Awards 2018. The simple explanation is, this movie tells about Dani, a daughter from one family and has a dream that she can be a director of a film. Dani said, that she wants to be a director of a movie, but her family, actually her father begin to say that a director of the film is just a hobby. In our environment, we always see, that parent prohibit their daughter to join a job just because that job familiar with men’s job, begin talking about a sexist comment, and slowly knock down their daughter's dream and passion.
In this movie, we can see that Jasmin Sekhon (Dani actress) shows her disappointment and her angry when her father (portrayed by Jessie Kandola) begin said about sexist perception and close-minded about women. Her mother (portrayed by Sangeeta Wylie) initially close-minded like Dani’s father, but from a short conversation, she understands what her daughter wanted. The prop’s just only 2 different room (first Dani room and second is the dining room on the first floor), slams of the plate, show how disappointment Dani with her father and banging of glass from Dani’s father show that Dani needs to hear and do what he wants, even that is wrong.
From an analysis of the audience, we found that the audience supports this movie until one of the audience begins to tell his story about a desire to be a nurse, but his father said that the job only for women. The plot of this movie is not confusing and easy to understand, the style of this movie is quite relaxing and reaches the climax when Dani said her disappointment to her mother. For this movie, we know that gender equality is a serious problem
